How to get admission to Doon School Admission 2023:
The school provides admissions to only boys in the month of January and April every year. In January, admissions are provided into the 8th class (C form), and in April admissions are provided into the 7th standard (D form).
To get admission in the 7th class, a boy must be over 11 years and under 12 years of age in September month of the year in which he sits for the entrance exam. To be admitted in the 8th standard, the boy must be over 12 years and under 13 years of age in September month of the year in which he appears for the exam.
Admission is a 2-step process:
In I step, boys take part in an entrance test conducted in major metropolitan cities (Bangalore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai & Dehradun).
The written test is held in November month of every year. The test consists of 4 papers: English, Hindi, Mathematics & General Knowledge.
Hindi is the compulsory language. Therefore, all boys must appear for paper in Hindi. An exemption may be granted to those students who have not studied this subject Hindi in 5 years prior to the entrance exam.
In II step of the admissions process, those boys who pass the entrance exam are invited for a personal interview. The interviews usually take place in December, at the school, and in selected cities (Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore/ Hyderabad/Chennai).
The school does not provide admission after the 8th class.

Indian Residents:
The school fee presently is Rs. 970000 per annum and incidental expenses are estimated at around 25000 per term. A refundable security deposit of Rs. 350000/- is required at the time of admission. A one-time admission fee of Rs. 350000 is also charged.
For NRIs/Foreign Nationals the school fee is applicable as follows:
School fee: Rs. 1212500 per annum, Admission fee: Rs. 606250/- at the time of admission (equal to one term’s fee), A security deposit: Rs. 6,06,250/- at the time of admission (equal to one term’s fee), Advance incidental charges: Rs. 50000 per term.
Registration is finished on (i) submission of a verified copy of the boy’s birth certificate and (ii) payment of the Registration fee, by DD (Demand Draft) according to the schedule given below:
