The Voice Kids Belgium 2024 Host:

Nora Gharib:

Nora Gharib is a singer, presenter, and actor from Belgium. Gharib grew up on the Left Bank after being born in Merksem. Alongside Sarah Mouhamou, she served as the face of the Ketnet campaign against bullying, Stip It, in 2020 and 2021. It was revealed towards the end of 2021 that she would appear in A Real Job’s second season.

She took part in the third season of Dancing with the Stars on the Flemish channel Play4 from December 2021 to February 2022. She advanced to the championship round and ultimately placed third. She plays Monica in the upcoming movie Zeppos – Het Mercatorspoor, which opens in theatres in the spring of 2022.

Gharib began hosting the television show Blind Gesprongen on VTM in April 2022. Tiny House Battle debuted on VTM in the autumn of 2022, with Gharib serving as the presenter.

In 2023 spring, Gharib debuted her first clothesline with Zeb. She and Andy Peelman participated in The Big Bang in 2023 as candidates. She served as a Starstruck judge as well.

Aaron Blommaert:

Aaron Blommaert is an actor, singer, and presenter from Belgium. He was born in Aalst on August 7, 2002. He is most known for being the lead vocalist of the band BOBBY. He has also performed in 4ever and #LikeMe on Ketnet and as Raven in Familie, where he plays the role of Lars De Wulf’s missing son.

He won The Masked Singer’s third season in 2023 in the role of the Wizard. Blommaert began his solo career and released his first single, Zonde, after winning the programme. He has already dropped a second song, titled Deurbell, in the interim.

Blommaert portrayed Jonas in the third season of the Ketnet series #LikeMe, which aired in the spring of 2022. In the next season of The Voice van Vlaanderen the same year, he took Sean Dhondt’s seat.

He returned to Tien om te Zien as one of the four presenters in the summer of 2022. Westende was used to record every show. He won first place in The Masked Singer in 2023 after revealing himself as the Wizard.

Coely:

Coely Mbueno was born in 1994 to Congolese parents in Antwerp. She began singing in a church choir under her mother’s direction at an early age. At the age of 14, she began rapping, initially covering Nicki Minaj in a nearby youth club.

She performed at all of the major Belgian festivals, as well as foreign festivals like Glastonbury, and opened for Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and De La Soul.

Pommelien Thijs:

Pommelien Thijs is an actress and singer from Belgium who was born on April 4, 2001, in Kessel, Belgium. In 2010, she made her television debut on the Flemish children’s show Ketnet kookt.

Thijs was one of two actresses who played the title role in the Dutch production of Annie in 2012 and 2013 at the Capitole in Gent and the Stadschouwburg in Antwerp.

She appeared in the television programme Op zoek naar Annie (“Looking for Annie”) before being cast. Pommelien Thijs became well-known for her role as “Caro” in the #LikeMe teen television series in Flemish. She gave multiple concerts throughout Flanders alongside the show’s cast.

Metejoor:

Joris Van Rossem, a Belgian pop singer who sings in Dutch, was born on January 4, 1991. He goes by the stage name Metejoor. With the singles “1 op een miljoen” and “Dit is wat mijn mama zei” from his self-titled first album, which peaked at number one on the corresponding album chart, he topped the Ultratop charts in Flanders.

In late 2021, Metejoor participated in the Flemish edition of Dancing with the Stars, but he had to withdraw due to an injury. He also participated in the second season of the VTM reality series Een echte Job, where celebrities gained experience working in a Hasselt hospital. Metejoor joined the panel of judges for The Voice Kids in Flanders for its sixth season in 2022.
