Over the course of 60 days, the first season was mostly shot in and around Pooleville and Weatherford, Texas. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) had constructed a replica Jerusalem movie set to film scenes for their Bible and Book of Mormon, and Season 2 moved to film in Utah County, Utah’s version of ancient Israel.
Season 3’s production moved back to Texas at a Midlothian location chosen for its topography and weather similarities to the Middle East. The season 4 filming location has not been disclosed yet.
