About The Show:

Twenty men join three Kiwi women who have moved to a tropical island: ten self-described “Nice Guys” who are seeking love, and ten self-described “FBoys” who are there to compete for real money.

Together, the women will sift through the dating pool in the hopes of discovering a committed romantic relationship. Everything will become clear by the end, including who the ladies finally choose and who is a Nice Guy versus an FBoy.

A long-standing question is posed by the social experiment FBoy Island: Can FBoys change, or do Nice Guys always come in last?

Shavaughn Ruakere:

Shavaughn Ruakere is an actress and television presenter from New Zealand, born on March 3, 1978. Her two most well-known television jobs are as host of the children’s programme What Now and as Roimata Ngatai on the prime-time serial opera Shortland Street.

Although Ruakere was born in Hāwera, her family relocated to Ōpunake when she was eight years old, and then they settled in New Plymouth. After graduating from university in Auckland, she moved to Christchurch to work as a television presenter on What Now.

Her first acting roles were in supporting parts in the films Sione’s Wedding (2006) and River Queen (2005). Ruakere’s most well-known television role to date was as Roimata Ngatai on Shortland Street, which she performed from 2011 until 2014. She started hosting the New Zealand version of FBoy Island in 2022.
