Tamil Nadu SI Recruitment 2023 Eligibility criteria:
Education qualification:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a Government recognized University in 10+2+3/4/5 pattern or 10+3+2 pattern in case of Diploma courses.
- Candidates must have Tamil as a subject in X/XII/Degree. In case of not studying Tamil as a subject during X/XII/Degree, the person must pass the Tamil Part-II Test conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission within 2 years of joining the service.
NOTE: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree through Open Universities devoid of the 10+2+3 pattern will not be eligible.
Age limit:
- The minimum age to apply is 20 years and the maximum age to apply is 28 years.
- Applicants must have done 20 Years as of 1st July 2023 & must not be more than 28 years in age.
- The age relaxations are given to some of the category applicants as per the Govt Rules.
Tamil Nadu SI Quota:

How to apply for Tamil Nadu SI Recruitment 2023?
- To apply for the application form candidates must visit the official site of the authority.
- After visiting, click on the link “TN SI Recruitment 2023”.
- Then, read the notification carefully.
- Then, fill in all the details in the application form as per the given instruction.
- Review the application form, all details must be correct and true.
- After this, submit the application fees.
- Then finally submit the application form and take a printout for further use.
Application fees:
- The examination fee of Rs. 500 has to be paid to appear for the recruitment.
- Those candidates who wish to apply under TN Police, General Category, and Sports reservation quota are to pay Rs. 1000/- as Examination Fee.
- The examination fee can be paid offline (SBI Challan) as well as Online.
Physical Measurement Test (PET):
- PMT and ET are of qualifying nature. PET will contain a maximum of 15 marks.
- Departmental candidates don’t need to appear for PMT and PET.
- Endurance Test will be qualifying in nature. Ex-servicemen, EX-CPMF, and Serving persons, who will be retiring within a year, are also exempted from PMT.
Viva-voce/Interview: This is a face-to-face round, the maximum marks allotted is 10 for open and departmental quota candidates, both.
Special Marks: Candidates, in both the category, holding special NCC/NSS/Sports certificates will get extra 5 marks.
