About The Show:

Survivor is the American adaptation of the global reality competition television series, Survivor, which originated from Charlie Parsons’ 1997 Swedish television series Expedition Robinson. The American television show debuted on CBS on May 31, 2000. Along with executive producers Mark Burnett and Parsons, the show’s original creator, Jeff Probst serves as host.

A group of strangers are dropped off in a remote area by Survivor, and their only means of subsistence are firewood, food, and shelter. In order to earn awards and immunity from elimination, the competitors engage in challenges that test their mental and physical skills, such as solving puzzles endurance tests, or both.

As each competitor is voted out by the others, the participants are gradually eliminated from the game until only one is left. This person is crowned the “Sole Survivor” and receives the US$1,000,000 ($2,000,000 in Winners at War) grand prize.
